Manic In Love

"Manic In Love" is a visual music mashup inspired by Marc Jordan’s "Mannequin" and Sylvia Syms’ "She Loves to Hear the Music." I created a fictional album by Carmen Quinn that blends the soft romantic tones of love with the chaotic energy of jazz. The name plays on both the word manic and the mannequin on Jordan’s cover.

The design pulls from Sylvia’s expressive brushstrokes and uses a shared red and blue palette to highlight the emotional intensity. Lips are a recurring motif, symbolizing love and intimacy, which also appear in supporting merch like the tote bag. This project captures the feeling of a love that is both tender and a little uncontained.
